What is ASOC?

ASPM Application Posture Managment

Phoenix Security has been selected as one of the leading vendors for the Gartner Application Security Hype cycle and innovator in the space

What is ASPM?

Application Security Posture Managment Tools (ASPM) advance concept introduced by ASOC tools bringing the aggregation and contextualisation together and focusing on a risk based view.

ASPM, or Application Security Posture Management, is a security solution that provides insight into an organization’s application security posture, including vulnerabilities, policy violations, and other security risks. ASPM tools typically offer a holistic view of an organization’s application security posture, enabling security teams to identify and remediate vulnerabilities and other security issues proactively.

Prioritization

Not all security issues and vulnerabilities are equally important. Which vulnerability would you resolve: A vulnerability on asset exposed over the web or an internal system shielded by security controls? Phoenix Security Auto-Prioritization enables you to select which vulnerability is most likely to get exploited.

Central Risk-based
Platform

Cyber risk quantification provides a relatable way to measure exposure and risk for the business. Phoenix Security correlates vulnerability results, delivering an AI based auto updating model that correlates application security, Cloud and Container security providing a single risk based pane of glass.

Risk-based Prioritization

Understand the potential damage each vulnerability poses to your business.

Impact Analysis

How much are critical applications really worth? How much productivity damage would you lose? Phoenix Security automatically calculates and updates your cybersecurity monetary exposure leveraging FAIR methodologies and AI based Risk modelling.

Application Security Risk

Because testing tools output large amounts of data, teams tend to spend time and resources aggregating this information into something actionable. Phoenix Security centralizes, analyzes, and correlates security tooling information into a single risk based pane of glass to craft better plans for future development.

Correlate Results

Application security, Cloud security, and Container security: how are they correlated? AppSec Phoenix enables you to centralize vulnerability results across different domains. Phoenix Security SMART tags enable automatic and dynamic correlation of application security and Cloud security deployment to always have an updated risk profile of your applications and where they run.

Track Progress
and Remediation

Measure team performance, track resolution time, path to green and how long it takes to resolve vulnerabilities. Provide application security and CISO with predictable and measurable progress.

ACT On risk Set Risk based Targets that deliver Actionable

We did not stop there and brought ASPM and cloud contextualization together, unifying the risk-based and contextualized approaches under one single automated workflow.

  1. With Phoenix, we have been pioneering the ASPM approach since our inception in 2020 and enabling organizations to set risk-based targets that translate into actions for engineers.
  2. Phoenix Security did not stop there and brought ASPM and cloud contextualization together, unifying the risk-based and contextualized approaches under one single automated workflow.
  1. ASPM is an increasingly essential tool for managing application security risks, with its adoption still in its infancy. The report predicts that over 40% of organizations that develop proprietary applications will adopt ASPM by 2026. It emphasizes that when selecting an ASPM vendor, organizations must ensure that the tool meets their specific use cases.
  2. For ASPM solutions to be successful, they must integrate seamlessly with other security tools and processes, replacing the traditional silos of visibility and responsibility with a consolidated view of security-related information. ASPM solutions must provide actionable insights and prioritize remediation efforts to enable teams to focus on issues that will provide the greatest return in overall risk reduction.
  3. Gartner’s recent Innovation Insight report on Application Security Posture Management (ASPM) notes that ASPM solutions need to support multiple deployment models, including on-premise, cloud, and hybrid environments. As such, organizations must ensure that the chosen ASPM vendor can support all legacy applications in their portfolio.
  4. Automation is also key to effective ASPM. The report recommends that ASPM tools automate the testing and remediation process as much as possible to reduce the burden on security teams. This includes automating the testing and remediation process, and providing continuous testing and monitoring to identify and remediate new vulnerabilities promptly.

Risk Posture
