Phoenix Security is hiring an SEO & Backlink Specialist (Cybersecurity) to help grow our organic visibility across ASPM, application security, and vulnerability management. This role is based in Málaga, Spain, with flexible remote options across the EU.

Phoenix Security is a cybersecurity company building a Contextual Application Security Posture Management (ASPM) platform. We help security and engineering teams prioritize vulnerabilities based on real-world risk, reachability, and business impact.

Our platform is used by global security teams (ClearBank, Bazaarvoice) to bring clarity across application security, cloud security, and vulnerability management.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Marketing Designer to support product marketing design needs.

This role is ideal for someone who understands how design supports product clarity, trust, and growth, especially in complex domains like cybersecurity and SaaS platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support marketing design needs, including:

    • landing pages

    • blog visuals

    • product illustrations

    • diagrams for AppSec and ASPM concepts

  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and marketing teams

  • Translate complex cybersecurity workflows into clear, intuitive visuals

  • Maintain visual consistency across product and website

  • Support website updates that improve conversion and SEO performance

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in product or digital design

  • Strong portfolio with SaaS or B2B products

  • Experience with Figma (mandatory)

  • Understanding of UX principles for data-heavy dashboards

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Nice to have:

  • Experience in cybersecurity, DevTools, or technical SaaS

  • Familiarity with data visualization and dashboards

  • Experience designing for developer or security audiences

Derek is an award winning author of a children’s book series in cybersecurity as well as the author of “The Application Security Handbook.” He is a university instructor at Temple University where he teaches software development security to undergraduate and graduate students. Derek got his start in the hardware engineering space where he learned about designing circuits and building assemblies for commercial and military applications. He later pursued a computer science degree in order to advance a career in software development. This is where Derek was introduced to cybersecurity and soon caught the bug. He found a mentor to help him grow in cybersecurity and then pursued a graduate degree in the subject.

Since then Derek has worked in the product security space as an architect and leader. He has led teams to deliver more secure software in organizations from multiple industries. His focus has been to raise the security awareness of the engineering organization while maintaining a practice of secure code development, delivery, and operations.

In his role, Jeevan handles a range of tasks, from architecting security solutions to collaborating with Engineering Leadership to address security vulnerabilities at scale and embed security into the fabric of the organization.
